Bbright UHD-PLAY Baseband Player for Broadcast and Tests Over 3G-SDI

UHD-Play is an easy to use, affordable and multi-format Ultra HD video play-out server for professional Broadcast applications such as for satellite, terrestrial, cable networks, telco operators, lab tests and field experimentations.

UHD-Play supports multiple video files formats and converts all ingested files to uncompressed baseband domain. RAW data are played back at high bit rates through a professional video interface featuring four 3G-SDI outputs.

Secured by multiple HDD and SSD drives in RAID configuration, redundant power supplies and carrier-grade built quality, the UHD-Play can be used in any conditions either for UHD migration validation, or long test run, and even continuous looped broadcast.

BBright's advanced technology and know-how enable the UHD-Play play-out server to deliver uncompromised picture quality for the most demanding 4K / Ultra HD workflows including HDR.

The UHD-Play comes complete with the following items.....

One UHD-Play (with SSD option) 4K-UHD uncompressed video file player,
Two mains power cords,
Four DIN 1.0/2.3 to BNC [female] coaxial cable adaptors,
Two racking rails and the corresponding screws.

The UHD-Play uses dual redundant power supplies (100 - 240VAC / 50 - 60Hz /400W each). In case one power supply fails, or is not connected to the electricity outlet, a beep noise will alert the user. To
stop the beep, the power supply shall be extracted from the chassis or connected to the electricity outlet.

Any kind of computer with a Web browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari can be used to control the equipment via its web-based G.U.I.. Internet Explorer is not recommended. Anyway, a version 9 or above is required for a functional web-based G.U.I.

Tablets, iOS or Android based, can also be considered to control the equipment. The minimum necessary hardware consists of an Ethernet cable and a computer (for a direct computer to player connection),

Two USB 2.0 or the other two USB 3.0 interfaces can be used indifferently to ingest files into the UHD-Play video player.

AS a safety precaution a 15 pin D-Sub connection on the rear of the unit is supplied. This connector allows the user to connect to any VGA type monitor to retrieve the machine's IP address in case it has been forgotten by the user. There is no other function available for the VGA connection other than what is stated above.
