LightViper VIS-4832 Digital Optical Snake Head
The VIS-4832 is the "head" end of our 4832 system. It is intended for applications where AES3 digital inputs will be used such as in transporting the digital outputs of remote mic pre-amps, or for transporting the outputs of a digital console to up to (3) locations.
The VIS-4832 has (32) AES3 inputs (sends) and (8) analog or digital inputs (returns), all on DB-25 connector s. There are up to (3) fiber connections available; (1) primary (standard) and up to (2) optional "splits", and can be fit with ST, TAC-4 or Neutrik OpticalCon® connectors.
The VIS-1832 will operate at 24 bit/48k or 24 bit/96k. It also contains a control port capable of passing TTL data, as well as RS-422 control data via the optional DGL-422 dongle. Utilizing the optional MD-3 multiple control interface, it can also pass RS-422, MIDI or RS-232 control data.
The VIS-1832 can also be fit with the ETH-1832 Ethernet option. The unit contains Word Clock and Super Clock outputs, and operates on 90VAC - 260VAC. The VIS-1832 is convection cooled.
