The lightweight GEN-STAR is ideal for equipment installation or for troubleshooting signal path issues related to high-definition and standard-definition digital formats. This PDA-sized test generator was designed to offer the convenience of portability without sacrificing function and performance. To enhance the user's experience, the GENSTAR features an integrated 320x240 color LCD display, utilizing touchscreen technology and the provided stylus to control and configure each operation. And, maintaining power in the field won't be a problem - the GEN-STAR runs on a Lithium-Ion battery pack.
The GEN-STAR includes two HD-SDI or SD-SDI signals formatted in SMPTE 292 M or SMPTE 259 M-C with AES audio. The stereo headphone output can be used to monitor the AES audio. Standard accessories include a sunshield, stylus, rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack, AC power adapter, serial communications cable and a belt-style pouch.
