The Matrix Switch Corporation SmartPanel goes beyond the old fashion display and button panels offered by other routing switcher manufacturers. Buttons and displays that on those systems that look more like bad props from a 1950's sci-fi movie have been replaced with a bright crisp full color 320x240 display and 32 individually illuminated switches with excellent tactile feel.
Operation of the SmartPanel is as simple as it is powerful. The 10 button keypad is laid out using conventional calculator - computer keypad formate. The four scroll buttons easily navigate around any page. And there are page up / page down buttons. If you make a mistake there are undo and redo buttons.Presets can easily be set and recalled. The primary or routing mode of the SmartPanel easily navigates between selection of sources and destinations. In addition to the Routing mode selected by the 'Menu' button, the SmartPanel has modes for Ethernet provisioning and setting source and destination names.
The M1, M2, M3 and M4 buttons are user definable switches. One way these can be used is as macro's that with a single button press assign the smart panel to any of four different Matrix Switch Corporation multi-level routing switchers. Each with its own unique IP address, matrix size and set of source, destination names and 10 presets.
