The Thor F-2ASI 2 Channel DVB ASI over Fiber or SDI over Fiber is a fiber optic transmitter and receiver set for 2 full rate DVB-ASI Broadcast signals. This is our standard ASI over fiber transport platform for the broadband and broadcast industry. The F-ASI systems are used in various applications for extending ASI over fiber to remote locations over singlemode fiber. They are ideal for delivering contribution feeds, or for STL links. ASI fiber optic transport is based on the conversion of the transport streams digital band to an optical carrier signal which can be broadcast at distances of up to 120 Km. The unit can be single, dual, or have up to eight independent multiplexed channels. The standard connector input for the ASI signal is a BNC connector however other connectors may be used if specified. Compatible with any rate DVB-ASI signal regardless of format or number of programs. We offer both compact and rackmount units. The optical connections can be configured for SC, SC(APC), ST, or FC connectors. The F-ASI features easy to read diagnostic LED's for system and link status.
