Voice ID Phrase Editing Software Included:

• Channel Talker Voice ID can say almost anything. Phonemes are optimized for English, but can be utilized to speak several different languages.
• Create common messages to be played on each channel and a unique message for each channel.
• Text-to-phoneme dictionary with over 125,000 words allow easy construction of phrases to speak.
• Customize your presentation by employing the available 72 speech. elements (allophones), 43 sound effects, and 12 DTMF Touch Tones.
• Programmable pause allows programming a quiet period for noise testing.
• Voice ID information is downloaded to non-volatile EEPROM memory.
• Change the message as often as needed. 1,000,000 write cycles typical.

Channel Talker Specifications:

• Tone: Single internal audio tone is generated from a crystal controlled square wave filtered with an 8 pole Bessel digital filter sampled at 64 times the fundamental frequency. The third harmonic is attenuated more than 60 dB. Switch selectable frequencies are 1000, 440, and 400 Hz.
• Step: 6 stepped tones 125Hz, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, & 4000Hz nominal each presented for 500ms continuously repeating .
• Microphone: Internal, front panel, microphone allows user to communicate over the channel being tested.
• Level: Maximum usable audio output is 8 dBu. Switch selection for internal tone of 4, 0 and -10 dBu. Level does not affect microphone setting.
• Voice ID: Voice ID function selectable to overlay all output modes. Synthetic voice generator with 72 speech elements (allophones), 43 sound effects, and 12 DTMF Touch Tones. Configurable voice loudness, speed, and pitch characteristics. LED indicates when Voicing on channel 1.
• AES Stereo digital outputs: Two digital stereo outputs provides 4 audio test channels (two left and two right). Serial output 2VPP nominal into 75 Ohms on BNC connector. Digital channels match analog output channels. Selectable digital rates of 48KHz and 96KHz. All tones are in phase.
• Audio Output: Output balanced 50 Ohm on full size XLR male connector.
• Memory: Speech memory for 218 phonemes (about fifteen seconds of speech). A Phrase can call other phrases to optimize memory usage. 16 phrases maximum, with 5 being typical.
• Universal Serial Bus (USB) Interface: Standard USB-B interface. For connection to PC and customizing program. Interface is USB 1.0 compliant.
