It was then when the team realized that they had created something special. They have created a “TV station in a box”. So, they decided to brainstorm for other potential uses and how this technology can still be improved.
Although the technology behind this project may sound complicated, it came relatively easy for the team because of their vast experience and knowledge in information technology (IT). Several members of the team have worked at Rockwell Automation, after all. And, one of their responsibilities there was to build mission-critical automation systems that left no room for error.
The team decided to quit their jobs in May 2013, so they could focus all of their energy on growing their business, BoxCast. The company has taken off since then.
