Aviom DS16 16x16 Digital Snake
The DS16 is a 16x16 digital snake system ideal for smaller ensembles. The system uses one AN-16/i-M on the stage side that can accept up to 16 mic/line inputs. At front of house, those signals are to your console via an AN-16/o v.4 Output Module. Returns are handled by an AN-16/i at FOH and a second AN-16/o v.4 on stage. All 32 channels are transmitted over a single Cat-5e cable.
Each input channel on the AN-16/i-M contains a three-segment level meter, a continuously variable gain knob, a phase reverse switch, 48-volt phantom power, and a rumble filter with an 85Hz rolloff.
The 16 balanced outputs on the AN-16/o v.4 are provided via DB25 multipin connectors. The analog outputs can be set (per channel pair) to +24dBu, +18dBu, +4dBu, or mic level.
The DS16 is a simple digital snake that can easily be integrated with nearly any existing audio system. Because all Aviom solutions are modular, the system can be expanded at any time by connecting additional I/O modules.
