CountDown2 can be programmed to count up or down for any duration and, to remind the presenter to summarise and conclude, the separator between the minutes and seconds changes from Green, to Amber and then to Red. Both the 25mm (1") display (pictured) for lectern or production crew viewing, and 75mm (3") tricolour display, for long distance viewing, are available.

An Intelligent Lamp can also be used to show only the colour change, and the new Bar Graph display can be used to display the proportion of remaining time in countdown mode in a colour-programmable bar graph format.

The Countdown2 system can also run in normal clock mode to display real time for the benefit of presenters, attendees and technical crew between presentations if required. There are two remote display outputs which can drive any combination of digital and visual displays and either output can easily be expanded using XLR splitters, thereby providing multiple display units.

All displays can be set up and operated over a total combined distance of 100 metres (300ft) and with the addition of the CountDown Splitter (a one-in : four-out, active splitter), multiple displays can be connected and the total range extended to nearly 200M (600ft).
