The LEI-560 is an analog video to serial digital interface (SDI) conversion module with an integral frame synchronizer. The unit is 10 BIT processing that meets broadcast standards for professional use. Composite analog video is converted to 10-bit parallel data and decoded to 4:2:2 digital component video, using the state of the art design.
The LEI-560 features one video I/O signal. One independent analog video input can be converted to two isolated SD SDI outputs. The unit performs as a high performance analog to SD SDI conversion. An analog black reference input can be used to provide timing of the video output.
The H timing range is infinite for precisely timing the signals into the system. In the Gen-lock mode, the LEI-560 will automatically detect which reference format, NTSC or PAL. When in the Free-run mode meaning no inputs, the LEI-560 defaults to user selected NTSC or PAL.
In the event of loss of input signal, the user can select the output to freeze the last frame, field 1, field 2, black burst or SMPTE color bars. The front panel rotary encoder provides adjustments of timing and phase.
The rear panel accepts one analog video input and provides two isolated SD SDI outputs. Two BNCs are provided for black reference input, looping high impedance. The front panel has an 8 character display that provides information about the operating performance. The front panel has two switches, used as enter and escape, and a rotary encoder for menu settings.
The rotary encoder is used to browse through the various settings. The enter switch is used to make adjustments. the escape switch is used to go back to the previous menu item. The menu selections may be obtained clockwise or counter-clockwise for ease of setup.
