The original.
The Apollo has been perfected over the last 20 years. Now shipping standard with a removable diffusion panel and recessed front edge for the ultimate in light control.
All metal construction.
Unlike others, our umbrella frame is constructed using solid metal.
104-degree light spread.
With the wide recessed edge, the Apollo provides 104-degrees of light spread allowing control of where exactly the light falls.
Specular highlights.
Face the light forward through the white diffusion front for specular highlights. Specular highlights will provide a "hot spot" on your subject with a greater fall off from highlights to shadows.
Soft, even light.
For a softer and more even light, bounce your speedlite off the back of the Apollo. The end result is your subject being very evenly light with just a gradual fall off from highlight to shadow. This is the same affect as using a softbox with the internal baffle and outer diffusion panel both in place.
Pure color.
Fabrics are pure in color so the color temperature going into the fabric is the same color temperature coming back out.
Recessed edge.
The large recessed edge provides even greater light control allowing feathering of light to see exactly where the light is starting and stopping.
