The AMP1A-106 provides self-powered,full-fidelity stereo audio monitoring of 2analog channels (1 stereo channel) in thesmallest rack space possible. This unit notonly offers unrivaled Wohler sound quality, butalso professional level metering, eliminatingthe need for extra equipment. The AMP1A-106 features two 106 segment ultra-high resolutionLED level meters showing simultaneousVU & PPM for outstanding level-metering.This unit contains four high performancetransducers driven by three power amplifiers:one amplifier/driver combination handlesmidrange and high frequency information instereo, while the second handles summed lowfrequency information below the 500 Hzcrossover point.
The unique design provides optimally focusedsound for operators in an Ultra Near Field(1 to 3 ft.) working environment and offersperformance comparable to that of manyseparate monitor pairs, yet does so withoutthe installation hassles, awkward speakerplacements and "added-on" look. Thisprovides for a higher SPL for the operatorwhile reducing overall ambient sound andadjacent bay crosstalk.
Extended HF response reveals potentialproblems with audio whine or hiss andelectronic rather than acoustic cancellation ofbass frequencies provides positive audibledetection of out-of-phase (reversed polarity)audio feeds. A headphone jack is provided onthe front panel, usage automatically mutesthe speakers. Output limiter circuits areincorporated to protect the speakers, andextensive magnetic shielding allows placementimmediately adjacent to video monitors withno color impurities.
