Aviom DS48 48x16 Digital Snake
The DS48 Digital Snake provides simple digital connectivity between stage and the front of house mix position for up to 48 mic/line inputs and 16 line-level returns. All audio data travels over a single Cat-5e cable between stage and FOH by using the included pair of AN-16SBR System Bridges, simplifying setup and configuration. Cables can be up to 500ft/150m in length.
Each input channel on the AN-16/i-M contains a three-segment level meter, a continuously variable gain knob, a phase reverse switch, 48-volt phantom power, and a rumble filter with an 85Hz rolloff.
The 16 balanced outputs on the AN-16/o v.4 are provided via DB25 multipin connectors. The analog outputs can be set (per channel pair) to +24dBu, +18dBu, +4dBu, or mic level.
The DS48 can be used with nearly any console, and all signals in the system can be split as needed, simply by connecting additional output modules in the split location.
